Français — non plus (neither)
In an affirmative context you agree with aussi ("too"): Moi aussi. In a negative context you agree with non plus ("neither"): Moi non plus.
1
How it works
✓ Rule
non plus is the negative counterpart of aussi. When a statement is negative, you echo agreement by placing a stressed pronoun before non plus: — Je n'aime pas le café. — Moi non plus. The pronoun changes with the person: lui non plus, elle non plus, nous non plus, eux non plus.

Examples
| Affirmative (aussi) | Negative (non plus) |
|---|---|
| Moi aussi. | Moi non plus. |
| Toi aussi. | Toi non plus. |
| Lui aussi. | Lui non plus. |
| Elle aussi. | Elle non plus. |
| Nous aussi. | Nous non plus. |
| Vous aussi. | Vous non plus. |
| Eux aussi. | Eux non plus. |

⚠ Note
Use the stressed (disjunctive) pronoun, not the subject pronoun: say Moi non plus, never Je non plus. A common mistake is answering a negative sentence with Moi aussi — after a negative statement, agreement must be Moi non plus.
