Italiano — the pronoun ci
The particle ci often means "there" and stands in for a place already mentioned; with some verbs it also replaces a phrase introduced by a, su, in or con.

ci means "there" and replaces a place already mentioned: Vai a Roma? — Sì, ci vado. It also replaces a/su/in/con + a thing with certain verbs: pensare a → ci penso; credere in → ci credo; contare su → ci conto; riuscire a → ci riesco.

Good to know
⚠ Note
Don't confuse this ci with ci = "us" (object pronoun): Ci vedono = they see us. Note that ci attaches to infinitives and imperatives: andarci, pensaci.
