Deutsch — Indefinite pronouns
Indefinite pronouns point to people or things without naming them. German uses man for general statements and forms positive/negative pairs such as jemand/niemand and etwas/nichts.

How it works
✓ Rule
man always takes a 3rd-person singular verb: Man spricht hier Deutsch. jemand/niemand and etwas/nichts are positive/negative pairs, and alles means "everything": Alles ist gut. einer/keiner/welche stand in for countable nouns: Hast du Äpfel? – Ja, ich habe welche.

Good to know
⚠ Note
man has no plural and no genitive. In the accusative it becomes einen and in the dative einem: Das macht einen müde; Das hilft einem. Don't confuse the pronoun man (spelled with one n) with the noun der Mann ("the man", two n's).
