Auxiliary: avere
'cambiare' is a regular -iare verb (the unstressed i is not doubled: 'tu cambi', 'noi cambiamo'). It takes 'avere' when transitive ('ho cambiato lavoro') but 'essere' when it means to change/transform by itself ('il tempo è cambiato').
