to leave, to let, to allow

Auxiliary: haber

'dejar' is a regular -ar verb. It means 'to leave (something/someone) behind', and with an infinitive 'dejar + infinitive' it means 'to let/allow someone to do something'. 'dejar de + infinitive' means 'to stop doing something'.

Dejé las llaves en casa.

I left the keys at home.
