Auxiliary: avoir

'envoyer' is a first-group -oyer verb where y becomes i before a silent e (j'envoie), but it has a completely irregular future and conditional stem (enverr-). Compound tenses use 'avoir' (past participle 'envoyé').

J'envoie une carte postale à mes parents.

I send a postcard to my parents.
