to live / to reside

'mieszkać' is imperfective and means 'to live/reside somewhere'; it has a present tense and forms its future analytically with 'będę' plus the infinitive. For 'to be alive / to live a life' Polish uses 'żyć'.

Mieszkam w centrum Warszawy.
